Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I'm from Queens, New York but I live in Atlanta, Georgia
What are your hobbies? Reading, watching movies and adrenaline rush activities
What is your job? Accountant
I got into college on an art scholarship because I could draw above average
What got you into writing in the first place?
I started out writing stories to go along with my illustrations, won a New York statewide poetry contest in the 6th grade and then as a teen I started making up fictitious stories about my fantasy life with the lead singer in the boy group New Edition. From there I just started making up other stories that simply included characters from my imagination.
What was the first book you remember reading?
I know I read books prior to this one, but the earliest one that comes to mind is "Are you there God, it's me Margaret" by Judy Blume.
What is your favorite book/author?
The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah
What genre of books do you read?
I'm eclectic. I read African American romance, urban lit, murder mystery, horror, women's and erotica
What genre of book do you write?
My books cross genre's. African American Women/Romance/Urban Lit
Do you have a favorite of your own books? If so, which one and why?
Behind Closed Doors, which was my first release in 2012 because it was a breakout success that I originally only released for viewing by my friends and it took off. If not for the success of that book, I wouldn't have written any books afterwards.
Are you currently working on anything new? Do you want to tell us about it?
I have a new release coming out on December 31st called "When I'm Bad, I'm Better." It's about 4 female cousins who's lives spiral out of control after separate devastating events expose secrets that change the course of their futures.
